Wet, cold, gloomy Sunday. On days like these there are two things you can do.

1 - Stay in and hibernate.
2 - Befriend the weather and have fun.

This week Lydia Leith and I chose the latter, and decided to go on the hunt for elderflowers to make elderflower cordial.
We're lucky enough to live in a City, yet have so much nature at our door step, finding our ingredients only required a visit to the end of our road.

After getting excited over finding things to make and eat from the land, we decided that the fun couldn't stop there and decided that nettle soup was the answer.
Gloves at the ready we headed out into the rain once more.

As you can see from the image above it was a bit of a disaster and came out much to thick. However we have recognised our mistakes and know what we need to do next time in order to make our nettle soup efforts successful. Even though the end result was lame, the fun was in the making, and fun it certainly was.
